The company has grown from very humble beginnings..........In 1978 an engineer named John Graham started the company with a second hand Herbert 2D capstan lathe, as well as a drill press and bench grinder.
The company name evolved from the fact that in the early days John manufactured “swages” for yacht rigging, and “the name Swages Engineering Ltd just made sense”!
I purchased the company 10 yrs ago and from that point moving forward, we have experienced huge growth and investment, in our capital plant, our people and our customer relations.
We have managed to secure contracts with companies that have global distribution in the Medical, Lighting, and Military fraternities, so as well as looking after our local market we are also used to competing on a world stage in all categories.
We have a staff of around 50 at present, and for the record “I am proud of what we have all achieved”
The company may have changed and grown over the years, but the integrity and focus in which we all conduct our day to day business, I am pleased to say is still with us.......
